Yesterday was World Mental Health Day and I celebrated it by just….taking it easy. As a Refined Food Addict and Overeater in Recovery and Unschool/Homeschool Single Mom diagnosed with Mental Illnesses PTSD, Anxiety, Bi-Polar Disorder and Depression, and experiencing symptoms of these for over 20 years, raising children, largely undiagnosed for about 22 of the 26 years I’ve been a Mom, has not been the easiest experience. Looking back, I remember spending sooo many years scared to go get help for the mental pain I was in, for fear I’d have my children taken away from me. I’m grateful for the series of events that led me to push past the fear and am now receiving Therapy and being a lot more Intentional about my Self-Care. The relationships I have w/ my children, now 25 and 18, have been improving exponentially as we repair bonds. Here’s to our Family’s Freedom#ForeverUnschooled
